Greetings! This is my first time here. My name is Caroline and I am a recovering member of Dual Recovery Anonymous. I live in a different part of the state from the drop-in center and so I am really grateful to have this forum. i don't know if this is how to post an introduction or not, but this is my attempt at it! Thanks for being here!

Peace,
Caroline

Hi Caroline! Welcome! I'm a recovering person in DRA too. Maybe we could talk recovery under the dual recovery topic? Good to see you here and I hope you find this a great place to share.

Peace,
Leah

Thanks Leah for the welcome! I am having a bit of a tough time due to some medication changes. It's been tough to funtion too well. That's why it took so long to reply. I am grateful this place is here and that you are here, as well.

I went to our Local Advisory Council for Mental Health issues today. I haven't been for quite some time. I wanted to mention what you are doing in Bozeman, but the speaker took up the entire hour. Maybe next time! Hopefully, I'll visit the drop-in center and your DRA meeting sometime soon.

Please take care...

Peace,
CarolineR

HI Caroline! Sorry to hear about the med complications. Are you a member of the LAC where you are from? There may be a way that the LAC or Service area autority can help you get started with a new DRA group. Can't promise, but we had some help financially to get books for our members. Thing is, the DRA service has been really slow with us. Don't know why, but we may end up ordering our book from someone else. But then I can't see us getting the workbooks or anything else with them. Oh well. We get a huge turn out some days.

It would be great if you could come up to our drop-in center for a few groups. We'd love to have you. Hope your meds are treating you better now. Thanks for being here and we'll talk again soon.

Peace,
Leah
