HEY!!! Walking in India!!! I'm glad you're having a great time. It's really good to hear from you. Glad you checked in. It's been kinda hot here to. Near 90 yesterday. It's only 6:25 here and it's already 51 degrees! Don't know how that compares to where you are, but for MT, I think it's hot! When you get more time, let us know what you've been up to.

Peace and hugs,
Leah

leah!
i have time to write now....i have been volunttering with a group of slum kids just outside of calcutta in a place called bishapara. the kids are amazing, so gorgeous and such a joy to be around, they truly lighten up my life when i am with them. we teach them every day monday through friday english and art and math. they love it! we only teach for 3 hours a day bc its so hot, but it recently started the monsoon season(when it rains every day!) so it is a bit cooler. i have just this week left of volunteering then i am off to the north to a place called darjeeling. its a beautiful hill station in near the mountains(the himalayas!!) and i am so excited to get out of the big huge dirty and loud city! i need an escape! i hate big cities and calcutta is no exception. ugh. i need a break, the onlyt hing keeping me here are the children!

so ill be in darjeeling for a week then i take the train back to delhi and go to agra to see the taj mahal then i go back to delhi and my flight leave on june 9th at 10:50 PM! I cannot wait to come home, i miss it so much!(although i am looking forward to traveling a bit i suppose!)

i hope everyone is well, i miss you all and will try to keep in touch......Smile

Hi Walking!!! So good to hear from you! I have to travel vicariously! Hope you took your camera! I have seen pics of the himalayas. They are SO Beautiful!! Don't you just love it when students are eager to learn? It's a very cool thing you are doing for them. (And yourself too!) Talk about stepping outside the comfort zone! You will have memories of a lifetime. Do you have a digital camera? If so, could you post some of your pics here? I can picture it in my head, but that doesn't really mean I get the real deal. I'm glad you're having a good time. It will be good to see you again, but in the meantime...relax and enjoy!

Peace,
Leah
